Matteo Calì is an Associate in the Corporate M&A Department at the Rome office.

In addition to advising Italian and international companies on corporate governance and corporate law, Matteo deals with commercial contracts, having gained experience in the negotiation, drafting, and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts.

Matteo also assists Italian and foreign companies in M&A transactions, assisting Italian and foreign companies in all phases of negotiations until the completion of the transaction (LoI, due diligence, review of bylaws, shareholders’ agreements, SPA, etc.).

Matteo has also gained significant experience in extrajudicial legal consulting and advisory services – including due diligence in M&A transactions – in the areas of data protection compliance, cybersecurity, and law applied to new technologies (i.e., blockchain, smart contracts, AI, etc.), providing ongoing support to DPOs and privacy offices of leading national and international companies.

He also has experience in energy law, having provided assistance in the field of sector contracts, with particular reference to the preparation and negotiation of on-site Power Purchase Agreements relating to the development of energy efficiency projects and related contracts (i.e., EPC, O&M, etc.).

Matteo is also involved in the academic field and collaborates with leading university professors, including in the drafting of scientific contributions and publications of various kinds.
